Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s 5th Annual

mRNA & Emerging Nucleic Acid Modalities

Next-Generation Chemistries and Design Strategies for Increasing Efficacy and Targeted Delivery

March 18-19, 2027

Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s conference on mRNA & Emerging Nucleic Acid Modalities highlights the innovative chemistries, new biology, precise engineering/editing, and AI-driven design and optimization strategies to modify naturally occurring mRNA, tRNA, and DNA to overcome some of the limitations in existing nucleic acid-based therapies. The talks and discussions highlight how new nucleic acid modalities are being developed to improve efficacy, stability, dosing, frequency of administration, and toxicity making it one of the most promising areas in drug development.

Coverage will include, but is not limited to:

  • Novel modifications and chemistries for improving efficacy and stability
  • Use of mRNA, tRNA, circular RNA, saRNA, modified DNA, and RNA editing for tissue-specific impact
  • In vivo CAR therapies for treating immune, CNS, skeletal, kidney, lung, and other disorders
  • New engineering and AI/machine-learning tools for increasing oligo potency and safety
  • Pursuing various pathways (degradation, activation, splicing, editing) to go after challenging drug targets
  • Exploring oligo therapies for oncology, immunology, metabolism, CNS, inflammation, and beyond
  • Building an IND-ready nonclinical package for novel oligonucleotide modalities
  • Safety considerations for mRNA, oligo conjugates, and emerging modalities

The deadline for priority consideration is September 4th 2026.
